The presidential campaigns is the big issue that will be discussed during the September 9, 2012, Sunday public affairs programs, with guestlists that include President Barack Obama, Governor Mitt Romney, and Representative Paul Ryan.

From a pure immigration perspective, the guestlists for the programs include San Antonio, Texas Mayor former Julian Castro.

The programs also will be packed with present and former officeholders from key swing-states, as well as political journalists who are covering the 2012 campaign.

Will any of the various guests discuss the subjects of immigration or the Latino vote during the September 9
Sunday public affairs programs?

We'll find out on Sunday!

The following is a guide to what is known so far about the guest lists for the coming weekend's public affairs programs:

  • CBS - Face the Nation.  The guest list for the September 9, 2012, edition of CBS's "Face the Nation" program includes President Barack Obama, who will appear via excerpts from an interview conducted earlier by CBS News Correspondent Scott Pelley, and Representative Paul Ryan (R-WI), the 2012 Republican Vice Presidential Nominee.  Also appearing on the program will be White House Senior Advisor David Plouffe.  Appearing during the journalist roundtable segment of the program will be New York Times Chief Washington Correspondent David Sanger, CBS News Political Director John Dickerson, Washington Post Columnist Michael Gerson, and Vanity Fair Contributing Editor Dee Dee Myers.  Given the lineup of guests, it is uncertain whether the subjects of immigration or the Latino vote will be discussed during the program.
  • CNN - State of the Union. The guest list for the September 9, 2012, edition of CNN's "State of the Union" program includes Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich (R-GA) and Governor Jerry Brown (D-CA), Governor of California.  Given the uncertainty over the complete guest list for the program, it is not possible to determine the degree to which the subjects of immigration or the Latino vote will be discussed during the program.
  • FOX - FOX News Sunday.  The guest list for the September 9, 2012, edition of FOX's "FOX News Sunday" includes Glenn Hubbard, Senior Economic Adviser for the Romney campaign and Austan Goolsbee, Former Chairman of the White House Council of Economic Advisers and a supporter of President Barack Obama's reelection; Mayor Mia Love (R), Mayor of Saratoga Springs, Utah, who is seeking to become the first Black Republican woman ever elected to the U.S. House of Representatives.  Appearing during the roundtable segment of the program will be Brit Hume, Fox News Senior Political Analyst; Mara Liaisson, Fox News Contributor and National Public Radio’s National Political Correspondent; Kimberly Strassel, Member of the Wall Street Journal Editoral Board; and Juan Williams, Fox News Political Analyst.  Given the lineup of guests, it is uncertain whether the subjects of immigration and the Latino vote will be discussed during the program.
  • NBC - Meet the Press.  The guest list for the September 9, 2012, edition of NBC's "Meet the Press" program will include Governor Mitt Romney (R-MA), the 2012 Republican Presidential Nominee.  Appearing during the roundtable segment of the program will be San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro (D); the Wall Street Journal’s Peggy Noonan; the Washington Post’s EJ Dionne; Former Secretary of Education Bill Bennett; and NBC’s Political Director and Chief White House Correspondent, Chuck Todd.
